Fight Back, or Fall Down
Growing up with a father debilitated by an accident and a mother battling addiction, young Fox eventually leaves home and lives on the street, until she's taken in by Goldie, a magnetic drug dealer who brings her into what turns out to be an abusive commune. After realizing how dangerous her new home really is, Fox breaks free again — but on her way out, she unwittingly grabs a bag of drugs she mistakes for money. Furious, Goldie sends her corrupt-cop enforcer, Sergeant Billy Breaker, to track Fox down, and when that fails, kidnaps Fox's younger sister, Spooky, as leverage. With no other option, Fox has to go back into the world she barely escaped to save the only family she has left. Marking writer-director Sophie Tabet's feature debut, Stone Cold Fox leans hard into its neon-lit '80s setting for a stylish, pulpy throwback to the era's grittiest crime thrillers.
