About the Series

The Fastest Man Alive

The Flash follows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), a Central City forensic scientist who is struck by lightning the night a S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator explodes. Waking from a nine-month coma with the power of superhuman speed, Barry teams up with Team Flash — Caitlin Snow, Cisco Ramon, and Harrison Wells — to hunt down the other "metahumans" created by the same explosion. Across nine seasons, Barry evolves from an inexperienced hero into Central City's protector, confronting speedster rivals, time-travel paradoxes, and threats from across the multiverse, all while balancing his double life with his relationships with Iris West and the found family at S.T.A.R. Labs. A direct spin-off of Arrow, the series is part of the shared Arrowverse alongside Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow.
